Location: Rochester, Kent Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent

About the Role

Our client, an established organisation within the Environmental Services sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team based in Rochester, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career within a professional and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will support a variety of engineering activities, working closely with internal teams, clients and stakeholders to help deliver high-quality engineering solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of mechanical engineering projects and activities.
• Carry out site visits, inspections and surveys as required.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and provide engineering input where required.
• Assist with problem solving and technical support activities.
• Ensure work is completed in line with company procedures and industry standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainable working practices.
• Support project delivery from inception through to completion.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Requirements

• Previous Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Professional and client-focused approach.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to and work on-site in Rochester, Kent.
