Manual Machinist – Precision Manufacturing Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (10-hour shifts) Overtime: Saturdays as needed Starting Pay: From $24.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience. Position Overview We are hiring a skilled Manual Machinist to produce precision-machined components using manual machining equipment. This role is ideal for someone with experience working from blueprints, maintaining tight tolerances, and producing quality parts in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Read and interpret machining blueprints and shop drawings.

Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.

Machine components to required specifications and dimensions.

Hold machining tolerances as close as .0005" when required.

Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, including:

Calipers

Micrometers

Dial bore gauges

Additional precision measuring instruments

Produce accurate, high-quality parts while meeting production expectations.

Maintain a clean and safe work area by following established safety procedures.

Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications Experience operating manual lathes, mills, and drill presses.

Ability to read and understand machining blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong knowledge of precision measurement and machining tolerances.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

10-hour shifts

Saturday overtime available as business needs require
