About the Role
Pulse is recruiting an experienced Psychologist for a part‑time inpatient role within an adult acute service , working across two wards .
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established multidisciplinary team (MDT) , offering autonomy, clinical variety, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to service delivery. It is an inpatient role, working within an MDT, supervising pre-qualified psychologists and occasionally working with more complex patients directly.
The service is based in Cheshire . This role is ideal for psychologists with previous inpatient experience looking for flexible working alongside high‑quality clinical practice.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will :
Work as part of a multidisciplinary inpatient team across two adult acute wards
Provide clinical supervision to pre‑qualified and junior psychologists
Support psychological formulation and intervention planning within the MDT
Occasionally carry a small caseload of more complex patients , where required
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience
Essential / Minimum Requirements
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
Experience working with adult mental health populations
Ability to work autonomously within an MDT setting
Desirable
Previous inpatient or acute ward experience
Experience supervising trainees or pre‑qualified psychologists
Confidence working with complex mental health presentations
