Overview
Otterbein has an employment opportunity for an Assisted Director of Nursing (ADON) . This position is a critical member of the health care leadership team.
Otterbein is searching for a strong, mission driven nurse leader to join the dedicated and compassionate team committed to enhancing the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons we serve.
Responsibilities
Track Physician and Ancillary Visits and Orders
Discuss resident observations/concerns with appropriate coordinator
Provides oversight, coaching and direction to staff as needed
Medicaid Waiver oversight
Facilitate the weekly Medicare/Therapy/Resident meetings
Complete the reassessments for residents and hospital visits when appropriate
Assist in the management of the survey process
Assist with doctor rounds
Attend daily clinical huddle
Serve as the “on-call” nurse in charge on a rotating basis
Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education : Graduate of approved Registered Nursing program
Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a nurse in long term care. Experience as a Nursing Supervisor is highly desirable. Assisted Living knowledge preferred.
Computer Skills: Sufficient level computer skills to perform electronic medical record/submission duties

Strong customer service skills
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical standards of practice, regulations and reimbursement governing long-term care and Medicare/Medicaid participation.
Recognize the autonomy and dignity of all residents.
Communicate a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for residents.
Understand how to place decision-making in the hands of the residents whenever possible and appropriate.
Make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to resident care and emergencies.
