We're looking for a Medical Assistant II or EMT to join our team. This is a PRN role with pediatric phlebotomy skills and experience required.

What You'll Do: Complete a blood collection with venipuncture and capillary collection

Ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and transportation of blood samples to the laboratory

Support the RNs and LPNs in the delivery of patient care with basic nursing functions

Greet clients, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable

Address all inquiries in a professional and courteous way

Ensure all clinic procedures are adhered to and completed in a timely manner in line with clinic needs

Answer client questions in accordance with company procedures

Maintain client records in accordance with company procedures and data protection requirements, always ensuring discretion and confidentiality

Assist with any other clinic duties as required, including supporting other team members inclusive of our Health Care Workers

Prepare for site deployment in advance for easy drop off and breakdown site for easy pick up

Oversee and ensure supplies, tests, client literature and other supplies as required for the clinic are made available

Maintain working areas and equipment in accordance with health, safety, hygiene and general housekeeping standards at all times

Assist with any other clinic duties as required, including supporting other team members inclusive of Health Care Workers

Maintain good working knowledge of the services provided including looking for opportunities to grow Novir’s presence at the site (moving from reactive to proactive testing, including athletics testing, special events)

Phlebotomy Duties: Collects blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary technique and processes the samples according to laboratory guidelines

Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

Delivers samples to the laboratory in established time frames.

May perform waived testing

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Travel to onsite health locations

Required Certifications: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Phlebotomist certification preferred

Key Experience We're Looking For: 3+ years in an MA or LPN role

Experience working with pediatric patients

Experience collecting pediatric blood specimens

Previous experience in patient facing role

Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred

Strong ability to communicate effectively across teams and clients

Ability to use Word, Excel, Email, Internet, and in house systems

Ability to drive between multiple clinic sites and have responsibility for various sites

Physical Demands of the Role: Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly

Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.

Must be able to stand most of the day on concrete or hard floors.

Physical ability to work around children

Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands and/or fingers.

Physically traveling from one work site to another
