Reporting directly to the VP, Digital, the Ecommerce Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of the DTC business across Shopify, email, and SMS. This role partners closely with the Ecommerce Manager and CRM Manager to keep the site accurate and launch-ready, build and deploy customer communications, and ensure a seamless experience across digital touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented operator who is comfortable moving between site updates, campaign execution, quality assurance, reporting, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Location: Malbon HQ is based in Santa Monica, CA. We are currently operating from a hybrid work schedule of 3 days a week in-office. This role is not eligible for remote or relocation.

What You’ll Do

Site Operations & Product Launches

Execute day-to-day updates in Shopify, including product and variant setup, pricing, imagery, descriptions, tags, collections, metafields, SEO fields, navigation, landing pages, and promotional content

Support launches, collaborations, campaigns, and promotions from setup through go-live, ensuring all site elements are accurate, complete, and on time

Maintain collection merchandising, categorization, sorting, filters, badges, redirects, and product availability to improve discoverability and conversion

Conduct QA across desktop and mobile, resolve straightforward issues, and escalate bugs or platform problems to the appropriate partner

Document processes, launch checklists, promotional setup requirements, and recurring site-maintenance workflows

Email & SMS Campaign Execution

Setup, QA, schedule, and deploy email and SMS campaigns based on the marketing calendar and approved briefs

Validate copy, imagery, links, products, promotional details, parameters, audience segments, suppression rules, timing, and mobile rendering before launch

Support automated lifecycle communications, including welcome, browse and cart abandonment, back-in-stock, post-purchase, and win-back programs

Ensure messaging aligns with brand priorities, and the onsite customer experience

Assist with audience segmentation, personalization, test setup, and basic troubleshooting within email and SMS platforms

QA, Reporting & Optimization

Prepare and maintain recurring reporting across conversion rate, average order value, product/collection performance, engagement, revenue, trends, and other key metrics

Support A/B testing across site experiences and CRM campaigns

Review analytics, customer feedback, session recordings, and site behavior to identify errors, friction points, and opportunities for improvement

Maintain centralized logs for tests, site issues, campaign learnings, and recurring customer pain points

Cross-functional Coordination & Process Management

Manage launch checklists, campaign timelines, asset trackers, and project tasks to keep deliverables moving from brief through deployment

Follow up with cross-functional partners to ensure product information, creative assets, copy, approvals, and inventory inputs are delivered on time

Maintain documentation for Shopify standards, CRM deployment processes, QA checklists, naming conventions, and recurring workflows

Support platform and process improvements that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and strengthen the customer experience

Stay current on ecommerce, CRM, and digital retail best practices, bringing forward relevant competitive examples and ideas

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

1-3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, site merchandising, CRM, email/SMS marketing, or digital marketing, ideally within fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or DTC retail

Familiarity with ecommerce analytics and reporting tools, including Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Excel, or Google Sheets

Exceptional attention to detail and strong QA instincts, with the ability to catch errors before they reach the customer

Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines, campaigns, and launches without losing accuracy or follow-through

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams, and external partners.

Technical curiosity and comfort learning new platforms, troubleshooting issues, and working within data-driven workflows

Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to organize data, pull reports, and identify trends

Customer-first mindset with a strong visual eye for brand consistency, merchandising, and intuitive site experience

Proactive, accountable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, creative environment

Preferred experience

Hands-on experience working in Shopify, including product setup, collections, site content, merchandising, and launch QA

Experience building and deploying campaigns in an email service provider and SMS platform

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, UTM tracking, deliverability, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA is a plus

Compensation

This is a full-time position with an expected salary range of $70-$75K. Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications.
