About the Role:
The Strategic Principal is a Senior Delivery Leadership role designed for an executive-level partner. In this role, you own the strategic direction of major enterprise engagements, partner directly with CXO-level clients, and ensure our delivery creates measurable, lasting transformation.
Operating at the same scope, scale, and complexity as our most senior leaders, this position oversees up to 20-30+ engineers across large, multi-workstream engagements. These environments are large, complex, and high-stakes, requiring a transformation strategy that extends well beyond technology.
This role requires a leader who excels in ambiguous situations and can translate complex challenges into actionable plans. You will weigh competing options under pressure, make critical judgment calls with incomplete information, and effectively manage financial and delivery risk at the program level. By combining high-level influence with a hands-on approach when it matters most, you will successfully rally teams and stakeholders around shared objectives.
What You'll Do
Strategy and Engagement Leadership:
Own and drive engagement strategy: Create and remain accountable for SOWs, working closely with C-suite stakeholders and Liatrio leadership to advise, evolve, and execute enterprise technology and AI transformation strategies.Navigate ambiguity: Synthesize competing priorities, organizational dynamics, and technical constraints into a clear strategy that teams can actually execute against.Make the hard calls: Evaluate options, make decisions when there is no obvious right answer, communicate tradeoffs clearly, and move the engagement forward.Manage program financials: Own resource forecasting, SOW accountability, and the overall commercial health of your engagements to mitigate financial and delivery risk.Shape AI-first roadmaps: Help clients practically embed AI into their delivery, operations, and cultural ways of working for lasting impact.Drive delivery excellence: Take accountability for the execution of contractual obligations, delivery quality across workstreams, and maintaining Liatrio's high standards for client experience.Serve as a trusted advisor: Guide clients through AI transformation, modern engineering practices, and organizational change while removing political, financial, and structural roadblocks.Own executive relationships: Build and maintain deep trust at the CXO and key stakeholder level, ensuring clients look to you as a primary advisor for major decisions.Proactively manage risks: Anticipate where engagements are heading, identifying opportunities and addressing risks before they escalate.
Team Leadership and Development:
Maintain accountability for the morale, well-being, and performance of the Liatrio team on your engagements.Focus 1:1s, feedback, and formal reviews on developing the next generation of Liatrio principals and delivery leaders.Oversee and approve resource forecasting, staffing decisions, and team rotations to prevent burnout and keep teams healthy.Advise leadership and PeopleOps on hiring, onboarding, and optimal team structures for your accounts.
Liatrio Growth:
Partner with the sales team to identify growth opportunities, craft SOWs, and position Liatrio as a long-term transformation partner for established clients.Contribute to Liatrio's AI transformation point of view, helping define how we bring AI-first approaches to enterprise clients and stay ahead of market trends.Leverage insights from your engagements to build accelerators, methodologies, and internal Liatrio IP that benefit future clients.

Sponsored or directed AI transformation programs at large enterprises, navigating the operational and organizational change required for long-term adoption.Led credible, high-level conversations with CXOs regarding AI strategy, focusing on the business case, implementation sequencing, risks, and capability building.Maintained a strong understanding of how AI reshapes software delivery, actively leveraging modern AI tools to model AI-first working practices.
Requirements:
Experience overseeing and directing teams of 30-40+ engineers across complex, multi-workstream enterprise engagements.Proven track record as a trusted advisor at the CXO level on enterprise technology and AI transformation.Authorization to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.Ability to travel 10-35%, primarily US-based with occasional international travel.
