Job title: Technician II, Maintenance
Location: Queen Creek, AZ.
Job Summary:
This position will perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions, as well as troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues causing production interruptions, including breakdowns. This position will also provide hands-on training for new and experienced employees.
Report To: Supervisor, Equipment
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot causes of mechanical and electrical errors.
Analyze equipment log data in MES system for problem solving
Repair and maintain operating condition machinery or equipment
Maintain standard processes and procedures in order to provide consistency across personnel and shifts
Provide initial and continuous hands-on training for new employees in equipment functions, features, and repairs.
Record performed repairs and maintenance histories
Collaborate with engineers, shift leaders, and section leaders to create more efficient processes
Demonstrate leadership skills leading meetings when operating procedure training is involved
Lead tours for new employees and visiting vendors
Draft blueprints and read schematic, mechanical and electrical diagrams
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions
Read and fulfill work orders
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
Sort, Set-in-order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in production/plant environment.
High School Diploma/General Educational Development or higher degree required.
Exposure to dry-room environments with gowning and PPE requirement.
Associate degree preferred or relevant work experience.
Vocational certification (i.e., journeyperson) *preferred but not required.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience *preferred but not required.
Technical mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.
Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Safety glasses.
Steel-toed shoes.
Must be able to do the following repeatedly.
Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Stoop, twist, bend.
Reach overhead.
Sit and/or stand.
