Chinese Learning Support Assistant

LeaderBright Oy is a private education company providing supplementary learning activities for children. We are looking for a Chinese Learning Support Assistant to support Mandarin Chinese learning and Chinese culture club activities for children from local families.

The employee will

• Assisting and guiding Mandarin Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing practice in an age-appropriate and encouraging way.
• Helping prepare Chinese language and culture materials, including Hanzi / Chinese characters, calligraphy, poems, songs, stories, games, seasonal topics and other cultural activities.

• Supporting children during club activities and helping them participate safely, calmly and positively.
• Using structured behavior-support strategies, such as clear instructions, visual support, structured routines, positive reinforcement, prompting, behavior observation and consistent response strategies, when appropriate and under the supervisor guidance.

• Helping observe and track children participation, learning interests, communication needs, attention level and activity engagement.
• Assisting with practical arrangements before, during and after activities, including preparing materials, organizing learning tools, cleaning the activity space and supporting cultural events.

• Performing other reasonable duties related to the employers private supplementary education activities.

The role is a supervised support role. The employee does not independently make formal assessment, grading, curriculum or special education decisions.

The position requires

• Native-level standard Mandarin Chinese, with clear pronunciation, confident expression and a child-friendly communication style.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese language, Chinese characters / Hanzi, Chinese culture and traditional cultural activities.

• Rich practical experience working with children.
• Experience using structured, child-friendly behavior-support methods.
