Accountabilities
Prepare corporate income tax workpapers, extension calculations, and quarterly tax estimate documentation.
Support year-end tax compliance activities and assist with federal, state, and local tax filings.
Prepare and submit sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, net profit tax returns, and other required tax documents.
Research federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to support compliance activities.
Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests from governmental agencies.
Reconcile tax-related accruals and balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
Identify opportunities related to tax credits, exemptions, and process improvements.
Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding tax matters.
Utilize financial and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel and tax-related systems, to support data gathering, analysis, and filing preparation.
Maintain accurate records while managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant tax experience required; 2 or more years preferred.
Experience preparing U.S. corporate income tax workpapers and tax returns.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and reconcile financial information.
Knowledge of tax compliance processes and ability to interpret tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Excellent research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
CPA certification is a plus but not required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
