Software Development Engineer SR -Full Stack Java/React
Accountabilities: The Software Development Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications while partnering with cross-functional teams to create reliable, high-performing solutions.
Participate in all phases of agile software development, including solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing application improvement.
Design and develop API-first systems while collaborating with business stakeholders, functional experts, and engineering teams.
Build and maintain backend services using Java, Node.js, messaging frameworks such as Kafka, and modern cloud-based architectures.
Develop user-facing applications and components using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Create scalable, distributed, event-driven applications with strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with global teams through development tools, documentation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Ensure application quality through effective debugging, optimization, testing practices, observability, and adherence to engineering standards.
Contribute to technical design decisions, architecture improvements, and continuous enhancement of development processes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack engineering experience, a passion for solving complex technical challenges, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
4+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in full-stack Java and React development.
Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, SaaS platforms, and enterprise application development.
Experience building large-scale distributed systems and event-driven applications.
Strong experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, streaming APIs, and messaging frameworks.
Proficiency with Java, React, Node.js, Kafka, databases, API gateways, and modern development frameworks.
Familiarity with security, compliance standards, and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with application performance tuning, debugging, logging, and observability tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, Git, Maven, Azure DevOps, and scripting tools.
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, API standards, and code quality tools.
Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in mortgage, financial services, fintech, or regulated industries is a plus.
