Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Workday (HCM / Financial Technical Consultant)

Accountabilities: Design, develop, enhance, and support Workday integrations across HCM and Financials modules, ensuring scalable and reliable technical solutions.

Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday integrations, reporting solutions, and enterprise application support.

Develop and maintain Workday integrations using tools and frameworks such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Benefit Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

Configure and support Workday Business Processes to meet evolving business and operational requirements.

Create, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, including Report Writer and BIRT reporting solutions.

Support Workday content management, including questionnaires, onboarding content, and related configurations.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions for recurring technical challenges.

Configure and maintain Workday Security Profiles and role-based access controls to ensure proper governance and compliance.

Participate in Workday release activities, including impact assessments, testing, validation, and deployment support.

Collaborate with business users, implementation partners, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver effective solutions.

Create technical documentation, including integration specifications, design documents, support guides, and operational procedures.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and development team members.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimations, and IT service management processes.

Requirements

8+ years of professional experience with strong expertise in Workday Integration Development and Support.

Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and mandatory experience with Workday Financials.

Strong knowledge of Workday integration technologies, including EIB, Core Connectors, Benefit Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

Experience configuring and supporting Workday Business Processes and functional configurations.

Strong experience with Workday Report Writer and BIRT Report Development.

Solid understanding of Workday Security Framework, security profiles, and role-based access management.

Experience supporting enterprise-scale global Workday implementations is highly desirable.

Familiarity with additional Workday functional areas such as Compensation, Payroll, Core HCM, Recruiting, ATS, EMS, and LMS is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Experience working with ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Experience working in Agile development and project delivery environments.

Workday certification is preferred.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Ability to work during US business hour overlap, with shift timings from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST.
