Accountabilities: The Senior Manager, Commercial Capabilities will lead the management and continuous improvement of commercial systems, ensuring technology platforms effectively support business growth. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, operational execution, and strong collaboration across business and technical teams. Support and execute the commercial systems roadmap, including CRM platforms and other tools that enhance sales and operational effectiveness. Partner with commercial strategy, revenue management, sales leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions. Evaluate technology investments through build-versus-buy assessments and provide recommendations to leadership. Manage Salesforce platform development, configuration, optimization, documentation, and adoption initiatives. Lead requirements gathering, solution design, user story creation, testing processes, and release management for Salesforce projects. Ensure strong integrations between CRM platforms and connected systems such as ERP, analytics platforms, and data environments. Oversee the development and delivery of custom internal tools when business needs require solutions beyond existing platforms. Define technical requirements, coordinate with development teams and vendors, and support quality standards for technology delivery. Develop and maintain an AI roadmap for commercial teams, identifying opportunities such as account prioritization, sales coaching, forecasting, reporting, and content generation. Partner with technology and data teams to evaluate AI solutions, manage pilots, and support responsible adoption across commercial functions. Lead and mentor a small team of administrators and systems professionals while coordinating external technology partners. Manage project timelines, budgets, priorities, and delivery outcomes across multiple technology initiatives. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a commercially minded technology leader with experience managing enterprise platforms, improving business processes, and delivering cross-functional solutions. Candidates may come from either an operations/process background or a technical engineering background, with strong ownership and collaboration skills. 8+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, commercial strategy, management consulting, software engineering, enterprise technology, or related fields. Experience managing commercial systems, CRM platforms, or enterprise applications with a strong understanding of business workflows. Strong process design capabilities with the ability to map, improve, and scale operational processes across organizations. Experience leading technology projects, defining requirements, and collaborating with technical teams or external vendors. Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce administration, optimization, and platform-level decision-making is strongly preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, as well as enterprise integrations and data workflows. Understanding of APIs, data modeling, and system integration patterns is a plus. Experience developing or supporting full-stack or enterprise applications is valuable for candidates with a technical background. Proven ability to manage multiple technology initiatives while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and creating structure where needed. Salesforce certification is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related fields are preferred. Advanced degrees are a plus.
