Accountabilities: The Senior Geospatial Analyst will support the execution of complex GIS, lidar, and remote sensing projects by managing technical workflows, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to process improvements. This role requires hands-on expertise with geospatial data processing, quality control, and collaboration with technical teams to deliver reliable client solutions.

Support lidar sensor installations, calibration activities, and boresight review processes.

Perform quality checks on acquired datasets, troubleshoot acquisition challenges, and ensure data accuracy.

Process airborne and mobile lidar trajectories using industry-standard tools and workflows.

Extract, process, classify, and analyze lidar data from raw sensor formats.

Perform lidar calibration, alignment, registration, and adjustment activities.

Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure processed data meets accuracy standards and project requirements.

Evaluate point clouds and geospatial datasets to identify issues and validate deliverables.

Create digital mapping and remotely sensed products using various geospatial software platforms.

Support project execution by assisting with timelines, production goals, and quality objectives.

Manage geospatial data workflows, including file organization, storage, backups, and production requirements.

Ensure compliance with established quality control procedures and project documentation standards.

Provide input on standard operating procedures, workflow improvements, and automation opportunities.

Collaborate with technical teams to improve production efficiency and enhance geospatial processes.

Support multi-sensor processing, data manipulation, and geospatial product development.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior geospatial team members.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced geospatial professional with strong expertise in lidar technologies, GIS workflows, remote sensing, and data quality management. This role requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

8+ years of experience working with imagery, topographic lidar, bathymetric lidar, data processing, analysis, and classification workflows.

Strong understanding of GIS and lidar concepts, including raster and vector data, coordinate systems, projections, and datums.

Experience with airborne lidar acquisition, processing workflows, calibration, and deliverable creation.

Knowledge of lidar error sources, trajectory processing, and sensor calibration techniques.

Experience with lidar processing tools such as Applanix PosPac MMS, NovAtel Inertial Explorer, Riegl RiProcess, Optech LMS, Teledyne CARIS, GeoCue True View EVO, or similar platforms.

Advanced knowledge of ESRI products, including ArcGIS 10x and ArcGIS Pro.

Experience analyzing point clouds and geospatial datasets derived from remote sensing technologies.

Strong quality assurance, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Experience mentoring, training, or supporting junior technical staff.

Familiarity with Terrasolid products, MicroStation, LASTools, LP360, Global Mapper, QGIS, GDAL tools, or command-line applications is preferred.

Working knowledge of Python or other programming languages is preferred.

Experience with automation, process improvement, GIS production editing, or data management workflows is a plus.

Surveying, geomatics, GIS, remote sensing, or related formal education is preferred.

Project management experience or certification is beneficial.

Industry certifications such as GISP, ASPRS lidar/remote sensing certifications, or NGA-related credentials are a plus.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Benefits:

Competitive annual salary range of $91,000 – $118,000 , depending on experience, skills, location, and market conditions.
