Senior Consultant - Epic Revenue Cycle - Healthcare Technology
Accountabilities: You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end Epic revenue cycle support across implementation and optimization projects, ensuring systems are effectively aligned with client operational needs. You will configure, test, and enhance workflows across front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue cycle functions while supporting multiple concurrent client engagements. Key responsibilities include:
Configure and optimize revenue cycle workflows in Epic Systems, including patient access, HIM, hospital billing, professional billing, and related modules
Analyze current-state revenue cycle processes and design Epic-enabled future-state solutions
Build, test, and validate system configurations, rules, and workflows across revenue cycle applications
Support full lifecycle implementations, including go-live readiness, command center support, and issue resolution
Develop training materials and deliver end-user training sessions for client teams
Document system specifications, workflows, and configuration standards for knowledge sharing and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including client stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in partnership with internal and external teams
Contribute to best practices, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings strong Epic revenue cycle expertise combined with consulting or client-facing experience in healthcare technology environments. You are comfortable working across complex workflows and translating operational needs into system configurations. Key qualifications include:
4+ years of hands-on experience with Epic revenue cycle implementations or optimizations
Strong working knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle processes including registration, scheduling, charge capture, coding, billing, collections, and denials
Experience configuring and supporting modules within Epic Systems such as Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Hospital Billing, Resolute Professional Billing, or Revenue Guardian
Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer workflows, and compliance requirements
Experience contributing to or supporting at least one full Epic implementation or major optimization initiative
Ability to develop reports and leverage Epic analytics tools for operational insights
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing consulting environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field
Epic certification(s) strongly preferred (Revenue Cycle or related modules)
