Accountabilities: The Senior Cloud Architect will lead the design, evolution, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and architecture, ensuring SaaS platforms remain scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. This role serves as a technical leader who partners across engineering and operations teams to drive cloud excellence.

Lead the development and evolution of cloud architecture strategies to support current and future business requirements.

Create architectural frameworks, technical roadmaps, and design standards aligned with organizational goals.

Translate business needs into scalable cloud-based solutions that improve performance, reliability, and innovation.

Design and implement highly scalable cloud architectures capable of supporting growing user demands.

Ensure cloud systems meet performance, availability, security, and operational excellence expectations.

Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, standards, and best practice guidelines.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to architects, engineers, and operational teams.

Promote industry-leading security practices, compliance standards, and data protection strategies within cloud environments.

Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, development teams, and business stakeholders to enhance SaaS platforms.

Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and services and recommend improvements to infrastructure capabilities.

Support cloud automation initiatives through scripting, Infrastructure as Code practices, and CI/CD improvements.

Contribute to incident analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced cloud technology professional with strong architecture expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the communication skills needed to influence technical decisions across an organization. They should have experience designing and operating secure, scalable cloud environments and supporting SaaS platforms.

8+ years of experience in Cloud Solution Architecture, Senior Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar technical leadership role.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong expertise with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with knowledge of modern cloud architecture patterns.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification expected.

Experience designing and operating scalable SaaS environments.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, .NET, SQL, or similar technologies for automation.

Strong understanding of serverless technologies and cloud-native application design.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments.

Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based architectures is highly desirable.

Experience with cloud security practices, compliance requirements, and data protection principles.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to incident resolution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Ability to work effectively in environments with ambiguity, evolving processes, and changing priorities.

Additional experience with Windows environments and SQL Server troubleshooting is a plus.
