Security Engineer: Infrastructure and Client Platform
Accountabilities: The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect internal systems, users, and infrastructure. The role requires strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Design, deploy, and monitor security tools supporting internal business operations and infrastructure protection.
Partner with platform teams to enforce endpoint security configurations across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android environments using appropriate management tools.
Develop and maintain identity and access management solutions, including access controls, SaaS authentication, single sign-on, and zero-trust security implementations.
Build automated and reproducible security solutions using infrastructure-as-code practices, scripting, and documented operational processes.
Review cloud environments, configurations, and security controls to ensure they align with organizational requirements.
Perform security operations activities including log analysis, threat hunting, alert investigation, and incident response support.
Improve security processes through collaboration, documentation, automation, and continuous optimization.
Support secure development environments and internal technology platforms while maintaining reliable and scalable systems.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings strong infrastructure security experience, a deep understanding of enterprise security practices, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving technical environment.
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure security, security operations, or corporate security engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of endpoint operating systems, particularly macOS and Windows 11, including secure configuration at scale through MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji.
Experience with endpoint protection technologies, EDR/XDR solutions, and SIEM or log management platforms.
Strong understanding of SSL certificates, PKI infrastructure, credential management, and identity security principles.
Solid networking fundamentals, including secure network architecture, VLAN segmentation, firewalls, WiFi security, and Zero Trust Network Access concepts.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security operations and improve workflows.
Ability to design maintainable, resilient systems with strong documentation practices.
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
Ability to manage complex security challenges while balancing operational needs and business priorities.
