SAP Infrastructure Specialist

Accountabilities: The SAP Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the architecture, administration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise SAP landscapes. This role ensures SAP platforms remain secure, highly available, and aligned with business and technical requirements while supporting modernization initiatives.

Design, install, configure, and maintain complex SAP environments across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted infrastructures.

Perform SAP Basis administration activities including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization.

Manage SAP HANA database environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and production performance.

Support SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, NetWeaver, and related enterprise systems.

Execute SAP upgrades, enhancement packages, support pack implementations, system conversions, and migration activities.

Support SAP cloud transformation initiatives across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Implement and maintain SAP high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including HANA System Replication and clustering.

Manage SAP transport processes and support Solution Manager ChaRM workflows.

Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

Partner with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system governance standards.

Support compliance requirements and ensure SAP environments follow established security and operational practices.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP infrastructure professional with strong technical expertise in SAP Basis, HANA administration, cloud platforms, and enterprise system operations. Candidates should demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, communication skills, and experience managing large-scale SAP environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

5+ years of SAP Basis or SAP platform engineering experience in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience administering SAP HANA databases in production environments.

Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver platforms.

Proven experience with SAP migrations, upgrades, system conversions, and cloud-based SAP deployments.

Strong understanding of SAP high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Experience with SAP transport management and Solution Manager ChaRM.

Scripting and automation experience using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include:

SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or SAP Basis administration.

Experience with SAP RISE, SAP Grow, or SAP Cloud ALM.

Familiarity with SAP BTP and integration with hyperscaler cloud services.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions such as Ansible or Terraform.

Experience supporting regulated SAP environments including SOX, GxP, or PCI-compliant workloads.

Benefits:

Competitive annual salary range of $125,000 - $145,000.
