Respiratory and Industrial SCBA Specialist
Accountabilities: The Respiratory and Industrial SCBA Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth, providing technical expertise, and supporting customers with respiratory protection solutions throughout Western Canada. The role requires strong customer relationship management, industry knowledge, and the ability to deliver effective training and consultation.
Drive growth of industrial SCBA, respiratory protection, and confined space solution portfolios across Western Canada.
Develop relationships with new and existing end-user customers to identify opportunities and deliver tailored safety solutions.
Execute respiratory protection campaigns with distributor partners to support field activities and increase market adoption.
Provide technical support and recommendations to customers, distributors, and internal teams to address complex safety requirements.
Conduct training sessions and presentations for customers and channel partners, educating professionals on respiratory protection products and applications.
Collaborate with marketing and technical teams on market research, product launches, and promotional initiatives.
Continuously develop product, regulatory, and industry knowledge through self-learning and professional training programs.
Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities through CRM tools.
Travel extensively across the assigned territory to support customer engagements, training sessions, and business development activities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a technically knowledgeable sales professional with experience in respiratory protection, industrial safety, or related fields. They should have strong communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to manage a large territory independently.
High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a proven ability to grow revenue, develop customer relationships, and manage complex sales environments.
Experience with technical selling in industrial, government, military, or similar environments.
Experience or strong knowledge of respiratory protection and SCBA solutions is highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license required.
Strong understanding of customer needs, consultative selling techniques, and solution-based sales approaches.
Ability to provide technical guidance and explain complex safety concepts clearly.
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
Understanding of provincial respiratory protection regulations and their impact on product selection.
Experience with field applications of respiratory protection equipment, including confined space environments, is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote field-based role.
Willingness to travel up to 80% within British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, including occasional overnight travel.
