Accountabilities:
Drive pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, and sales progression across assigned public sector accounts, ensuring consistent movement through complex government procurement cycles.
Qualify inbound and SDR-generated leads by assessing fit, buying intent, stakeholder landscape, and opportunity value.
Conduct discovery conversations to understand agency needs, priorities, procurement timelines, and funding structures.
Support enterprise account executives in building and executing strategic account plans across federal, state, and local government organizations.
Map key stakeholders, decision-makers, procurement officers, and executive sponsors within target accounts.
Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline through proactive follow-ups, stakeholder engagement, and relationship nurturing.
Coordinate product demonstrations, executive briefings, and customer engagement activities.
Ensure accurate CRM management, including opportunity updates, forecasting support, and activity tracking.
Requirements:
This role requires strong sales execution skills combined with a solid understanding of public sector sales cycles and stakeholder dynamics.
3–5 years of experience in inside sales, business development, or public sector sales roles.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple concurrent opportunities in a structured sales environment.
Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
Understanding of public sector procurement processes and extended sales cycles is highly valued.
Experience in SaaS or enterprise software sales is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team-selling model alongside account executives and cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to pipeline discipline and follow-through.
Ability to conduct research, map accounts, and identify whitespace opportunities.
