Accountabilities: The Professional Services Consultant - Modern Workplace is responsible for delivering end-to-end consulting engagements, from solution design and implementation through documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing client support. The role requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of modern workplace solutions. Design, plan, implement, validate, test, and document Microsoft-based solutions aligned with client requirements and industry best practices. Gather client requirements, develop solution approaches, create proof of concepts, and deliver implementation services. Provide consulting expertise across Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, identity management, endpoint management, and security solutions. Support infrastructure migrations, configurations, troubleshooting activities, and modernization initiatives. Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and technical documentation to enable client success and adoption. Perform client assessments, health checks, performance reviews, and capacity planning activities. Collaborate with project management and resource teams to schedule and successfully execute client engagements. Build trusted client relationships through effective communication, expectation management, and consistent delivery. Contribute to product evaluations, process improvements, and refinement of professional services practices. Maintain strong awareness of applicable technology standards, policies, and professional service best practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced Microsoft technology consultant with strong technical knowledge, client-facing capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver complex workplace transformation projects. This role requires expertise across Microsoft cloud, collaboration, security, identity, and endpoint management technologies. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 5+ years of experience delivering Microsoft technologies, including migrations, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support. Strong expertise with Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business. Experience with identity and access management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR, identity governance, and hybrid identity integration. Hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services, including upgrades, migrations, Group Policy, and hybrid environments. Experience with endpoint management and security technologies, including Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, Windows device management, and application deployment. Knowledge of Microsoft Defender solutions, Microsoft Purview, information protection, data classification, retention, and compliance capabilities. Experience with Exchange migrations, hybrid Exchange environments, tenant-to-tenant migrations, mailbox migrations, and collaboration migrations. Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, with solid knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft infrastructure concepts. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and data management. 2+ years of consulting experience involving client delivery, requirements gathering, implementation, documentation, and stakeholder management. Experience with Microsoft Azure services, governance, migration, security fundamentals, Copilot technologies, Power Platform, or migration tools is preferred. Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Endpoint Administrator Associate, Teams Administrator Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Security certifications, or Azure Fundamentals are highly valued. Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain strong client relationships, and travel nationally as required.
