Accountabilities: The Principal Engineer will be responsible for defining enterprise cloud architectures, leading modernization initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of secure and scalable technology solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, architectural governance, and collaboration across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.

Design and define scalable, secure, and cloud-native enterprise solution architectures using Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Lead application modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy middleware platforms to microservices-based and cloud-native architectures.

Architect enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel, JMS, ActiveMQ, and established integration patterns.

Design and implement containerized application platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

Define deployment strategies leveraging GitOps, OpenShift Pipelines, Operators, and automated deployment processes.

Design and implement Service Mesh architectures using technologies such as Istio to improve platform connectivity and reliability.

Establish DevSecOps practices by integrating security automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software delivery processes.

Develop architecture standards, technical roadmaps, HLDs, LLDs, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Define observability strategies using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace to improve system performance and reliability.

Lead architecture reviews, technical governance discussions, and solution design sessions with engineering teams.

Design secure on-premises container platforms aligned with enterprise security and compliance requirements.

Support enterprise data migration initiatives, including S3-compatible storage integrations and platform modernization.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.

Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native development, containerization, integration practices, and enterprise architecture standards.

Drive continuous improvement across architecture, automation, security, scalability, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in cloud architecture, enterprise modernization, container platforms, and solution design. Strong technical expertise combined with leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex architectural concepts are essential for success in this role.

10+ years of professional experience in solution architecture, enterprise application modernization, and cloud-native application design.

Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and microservices architecture.

Deep expertise in Docker containerization and Kubernetes/OpenShift orchestration platforms.

Advanced experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including cluster administration, Service Mesh, Pipelines, GitOps, deployment configurations, and Operators.

Strong knowledge of enterprise integration architecture, integration patterns, and network-layer design.

Experience with Apache Camel, JMS, and messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ.

Proven experience migrating legacy Oracle middleware and enterprise integration platforms to modern cloud-native solutions.

Hands-on experience implementing DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.

Strong understanding of Service Mesh technologies, including Istio.

Experience with observability and monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

Knowledge of S3-compatible object storage solutions and large-scale enterprise data migration.

Experience designing secure container platforms for regulated environments with strict compliance requirements.

Ability to create architecture documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, technical roadmaps, and implementation guidelines.

Experience with enterprise API Gateway solutions such as Apigee, Kong, or WSO2 is preferred.

Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Architecture, or DevSecOps are advantageous.

Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
