Accountabilities Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads across cloud environments, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern automation tools to deliver repeatable, scalable platform deployments.

Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Git-based workflows to accelerate software delivery.

Support identity and access management solutions, certificate lifecycle management, and platform security initiatives while contributing to compliance and authorization processes.

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to improve observability and support rapid incident response.

Collaborate with application development teams to troubleshoot deployment challenges, optimize integrations, and promote platform best practices.

Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture decision records, and engineering standards.

Participate in on-call rotations, support production incidents, contribute to strategic platform improvements, and mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing and code reviews.

Requirements

Active Secret Security Clearance required to apply, along with U.S. citizenship.

Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, and cloud infrastructure, preferably within AWS environments.

Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar technologies.

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or comparable automation platforms.

Solid Linux/Unix administration skills and proficiency working with Docker, YAML, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and related tooling.

Familiarity with cloud networking, IAM, monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.

Experience with DevSecOps practices, GitOps workflows, secure software delivery, and vulnerability remediation is highly valued.

Programming or scripting experience with Go, Python, Bash, or similar languages is preferred.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote, asynchronous engineering environment.

Ability to obtain or possess a DoD 8570 IAT II certification (such as Security+ CE).
