Accountabilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Build and deploy AI-enabled cloud solutions leveraging Vertex AI, Agent Builder, and Gemini Enterprise services.
Manage containerized environments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, Docker, Helm, and related technologies.
Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, including modular architectures and automated deployment pipelines.
Implement and manage cloud networking components such as VPCs, subnets, firewall policies, load balancers, DNS, VPN connectivity, and hybrid network integrations.
Establish robust identity and security controls through IAM, RBAC, Cloud Identity, service accounts, and workload identity federation.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, DevOps, and security teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions and support production operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
Strong hands-on expertise in designing and managing large-scale Google Cloud Platform environments in production.
Advanced knowledge of GCP services including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, including module development, state management, and infrastructure automation.
Strong Kubernetes administration experience, particularly with GKE, Docker, Helm, ingress management, and container security best practices.
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPC architecture, hybrid connectivity, VPNs, DNS, Private Service Connect, and load balancing.
Experience implementing cloud security frameworks, governance models, IAM strategies, and identity federation mechanisms.
Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD design, automated deployments, and DevOps methodologies.
Strong troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, and performance optimization capabilities.
Relevant Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Associate Cloud Engineer are highly desirable.
Previous experience within healthcare, life sciences, or highly regulated environments is considered an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile and cross-functional teams.
