Accountabilities:
As a Fleet IT Operation Lead, you will oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure operations across distributed environments, ensuring system reliability, security compliance, and operational excellence. You will coordinate technical activities, manage incidents, maintain governance standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure services.
Lead IT operational activities across the fleet, ensuring infrastructure stability, availability, and efficient incident resolution.
Manage vessel datacentre environments, including servers, storage systems, network devices, domain controllers, and backup infrastructure.
Monitor infrastructure performance and coordinate troubleshooting for critical operational issues.
Govern backup and disaster recovery processes by validating backup integrity, conducting restoration tests, and supporting recovery exercises.
Coordinate patch management activities, vulnerability remediation, and security improvement initiatives across systems and endpoints.
Implement cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening, endpoint protection, access control, encryption, and security monitoring.
Ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards, internal policies, and relevant operational frameworks.
Maintain IT governance documentation, standard operating procedures, infrastructure standards, and technical records.
Support audits by preparing compliance evidence, operational reports, and security documentation.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure, connectivity, and security services.
Prepare operational dashboards and reports covering infrastructure health, security posture, compliance status, and performance metrics.
Drive consistency and operational discipline across globally distributed IT environments.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced IT infrastructure professional with strong knowledge of enterprise systems, cybersecurity practices, and operational management. You bring excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong coordination skills, and experience managing technology environments where reliability and compliance are critical.
5–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, system administration, or IT operations management.
Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
Solid understanding of datacentre infrastructure management and enterprise systems.
Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and restoration testing.
Knowledge of patch management processes, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure monitoring.
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, system hardening, access management, and security controls.
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure and operational technology environments.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and manage critical incidents effectively.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities when working with distributed teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Experience with maritime IT environments or globally distributed infrastructure is considered an advantage.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA Security+/Network+, ISO 27001 certifications, or cybersecurity qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
