DBA Sênior - (Oracle)
Accountabilities: Manage and support highly critical production database environments, ensuring availability, stability, performance, and operational excellence.
Administer relational and non-relational database platforms, including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB environments.
Perform database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and query tuning to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Ensure proper governance of database environments through health checks, operational controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Plan and execute database activities, changes, upgrades, and maintenance procedures while minimizing operational impact.
Manage incidents, service requests, and supplier interactions, including opening support cases, following up on resolutions, and escalating issues when required.
Implement and maintain monitoring practices using tools such as Zabbix and Grafana to improve database availability and performance visibility.
Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and technology teams to support new projects and optimize existing platforms.
Contribute to agile initiatives, ITSM processes, documentation, and operational best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Database Administrator managing critical and high-availability database environments.
Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issues.
Experience with high-availability technologies such as AlwaysON and similar database availability solutions.
Experience with database monitoring tools, particularly Zabbix and Grafana.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and IT service management (ITSM) processes.
Experience managing production changes, approvals, and controlled deployment processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
Proactive, organized, and ownership-driven mindset with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work hands-on, prioritize multiple activities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications related to Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS.
Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, SQL Server AlwaysON, RMAN backup/restore processes, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Additional experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology environments.
