Accountabilities:
The Cloud Architect/Engineer (Azure) will be responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure cloud solutions while supporting enterprise cloud transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud architectures aligned with business, technical, and operational objectives.
Lead cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring applications and workloads.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Ansible.
Define Azure architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices to support scalability, availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
Implement Azure security best practices, including identity and access management, Zero Trust principles, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.
Optimize Azure environments through cost management, resource monitoring, performance tuning, and operational improvements.
Design and support containerized solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related Azure container technologies.
Integrate Azure services with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to enable automated provisioning, testing, and deployment processes.
Lead technical architecture discussions and collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and business partners to align solutions with organizational goals.
Support hybrid and multi-cloud environments while continuously improving cloud capabilities and operational maturity.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in cloud architecture, Microsoft Azure technologies, and enterprise infrastructure solutions. Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including significant experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions.
Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture patterns, and enterprise cloud environments.
Experience with Azure migration strategies, cloud governance, infrastructure automation, and security best practices.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible.
Experience with Azure DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud deployment methodologies.
Familiarity with container platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and cloud-native technologies.
Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, networking, identity management, and cloud security concepts.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to lead technical initiatives from design through implementation.
AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
Ability to meet eligibility requirements for Public Trust access.
