Accountabilities: The Behavioral Health Care Manager will provide high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services while collaborating with oncology care teams and clinical partners. The role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to support patients with diverse backgrounds and levels of care complexity.

Conduct structured assessments of mental health, behavioral health, and overall functioning for oncology patients referred through healthcare partners.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Deliver behavioral health interventions using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment strategies when needed, and support positive clinical outcomes.

Maintain accurate patient documentation and manage a patient registry in alignment with collaborative care model requirements.

Participate in regular consultation meetings with psychiatric specialists and clinical leadership.

Collaborate with oncology teams by sharing patient updates, recommendations, and participating in care coordination activities.

Maintain an active patient caseload while balancing clinical responsibilities and administrative requirements.

Provide between-session patient support through approved communication channels when appropriate.

Participate in ongoing training, supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.

Maintain professional licensure requirements and obtain additional state licenses when needed, with related costs covered.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a licensed mental health professional with experience providing evidence-based care in a virtual environment. Strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to support patients facing serious medical conditions are essential for success in this role.

Active, unrestricted license to provide mental health treatment in at least one U.S. state preferred; pre-licensed candidates may also be considered.

Experience managing a diverse caseload of patients with different diagnoses, backgrounds, cultures, and levels of acuity.

Ability to provide effective behavioral health care through telehealth platforms.

Experience working with oncology patients and/or individuals managing chronic or serious medical conditions is preferred.

Experience supporting patients experiencing suicidal ideation and/or trauma-related concerns.

Strong understanding of evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to work independently while maintaining strong clinical standards in a remote setting.

Availability to work during Pacific Time Zone hours, typically between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.

Spanish or Mandarin language proficiency is a plus.
