Accountabilities: The AWS Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, migrating, and optimizing data solutions using AWS and Snowflake technologies. The role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering, BI integration, and cloud-based architectures to support reliable and scalable analytics environments.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS services and Snowflake.

Perform BI and reporting workload migrations to Snowflake, supporting end-to-end migration activities.

Build and optimize data models, SQL queries, and Snowflake workloads for performance and efficiency.

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot BI connectivity with Snowflake using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.

Apply Snowflake best practices related to performance optimization, security, governance, and cost management.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures and production issues.

Collaborate with BI teams, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives.

Support continuous improvement of data platforms, processes, and engineering practices.

Ensure data solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in cloud data engineering, Snowflake development, and BI migration projects. This role requires someone with advanced technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.

6+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles.

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.

Strong SQL development and data engineering skills.

Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.

Proven experience with AWS data services, including:

Amazon S3

AWS Glue

AWS Lambda

AWS IAM

Amazon CloudWatch

Experience with data modeling, data migration, and cloud-based data solutions.

Experience integrating BI tools with Snowflake using connectors such as JDBC and ODBC.

Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues within complex data environments.

Experience with Python or PySpark is an advantage.

Familiarity with Airflow, Databricks, or Terraform is a plus.

Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and optimization is highly desirable.

SnowPro Core Certification is an advantage.
