Accountabilities: The Applied Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing educational experiences that connect engineering applications with effective learning methodologies. This role requires collaboration across technical and academic teams to create high-quality training materials, scalable learning programs, and impactful student experiences.

Design and develop engineering-focused curriculum, lab modules, and project-based learning experiences based on real-world applications.

Transform technical demonstrations, platforms, and training resources into structured educational pathways.

Create instructor guides, student materials, assessments, and digital learning assets to support different learning formats.

Align educational content with academic standards, accreditation expectations, and program objectives.

Partner with technical experts to ensure curriculum accuracy, relevance, and practical application.

Collaborate with engineering teams to test, refine, and improve educational content in classroom environments.

Develop scalable learning formats, including instructor-led, hybrid, and self-paced online experiences.

Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, performance insights, and continuous content improvement.

Support quality management processes and contribute to maintaining consistent educational standards.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of instructional design expertise, technical understanding, and strong communication skills. They should be comfortable translating complex engineering concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences while collaborating with diverse teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Education, Instructional Design, or a related discipline.

3–5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, technical training, or STEM-focused education.

Strong understanding of STEM learning principles and project-based education methodologies.

Ability to simplify complex technical topics and create engaging educational materials for varied audiences.

Experience using learning management systems (LMS) and digital content creation tools.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Passion for education, innovation, and continuous learning.
