Accountant and Advisory Manager
Accountabilities Manage a portfolio of client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact while ensuring clear communication, high client satisfaction, and timely delivery of all engagements.
Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the strategic direction of the accounting and advisory practice and support quality improvement initiatives.
Lead and coordinate both remote and in-person team members, managing workloads, schedules, and participation in client meetings and business planning activities.
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports, performing final quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
Mentor, coach, and support team members through ongoing training, constructive feedback, and professional development initiatives.
Leverage technology and best practices to improve service delivery, encourage knowledge sharing, and foster strong collaboration across engagement teams.
Promote operational excellence by maintaining high standards of client service, financial accuracy, and process efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of management-level accounting experience, with at least 3 years working in an accounting firm or public accounting environment.
Demonstrated success managing multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals.
Excellent client relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and provide advisory support.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Strong commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Proficiency with modern accounting technologies and digital collaboration tools.
French or another foreign language is considered an asset.
