Bank Accountant
Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bank Accountant to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and recording daily banking transactions, performing bank reconciliations, monitoring bank balances, and ensuring accurate and timely financial records. Key Responsibilities Record and maintain accurate records of all daily bank transactions.
Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor bank balances and cash movements.
Follow up on bank transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
Prepare and follow up on checks and bank transactions.
Review bank statements and investigate any discrepancies.
Coordinate with banks regarding transfers, transactions, and required documentation.
Monitor outstanding checks and ensure proper follow-up.
Prepare bank-related reports and cash position reports.
Assist in monitoring daily cash flow and liquidity requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all banking transactions.
Coordinate with the Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance teams.
Support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of all financial and banking information.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of bank reconciliations.
Accuracy of recorded banking transactions.
Timely identification and resolution of bank discrepancies.
Accuracy of daily bank balance and cash position reports.
Timely processing and follow-up of bank transactions.
Accuracy and completeness of banking documentation.
Timely completion of month-end bank reconciliation and closing activities.
Compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Reduction of unreconciled and outstanding banking items.
Responsiveness to internal and external banking requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in banking, treasury, or financial accounting.
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and banking transactions.
Good understanding of cash management and bank operations.
Experience with checks, bank transfers, deposits, and payment transactions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good command of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
Good command of English.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
