Your mission
Job Title: Streetworks Specialist
Location: Office based (Coalisland or Penrith)
Role Summary:
As a Streetworks Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the GB Build with streetworks
requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and resolution of concerns or issues.
The role:
• Raising, closing and managing permits from end to end including start/stop, PMR, variations, etc
• Processing TTRO and TTRN applications to various Highways Authorities
• Completing risk assessments in line with SWUK protocol
• Managing our works around other activities while focussing on collaborative working
• Understanding of permit scheme legislation and the requirements for managing permit conditions
• Liaising with the councils in Cumbria to discuss works and amend where necessary
• Provide streetworks administration support in accordance with business operations
• Ensure compliance with all elements of streetworks legislation through effective management of
notices, permits and other documents
• Have the ability to react and deal with issues arising as a result of our works.
• Investigate reinstatement defects, including accepting, disputing, passing to 3rd party and updating
trackers
• Notifying relevant parties of over-runs and ensuring the appropriate council are updated with action
taken
• Reporting low and high risk fails in a timely manner, including the processing and accepting or
disputing of the fail on the Aurora system
• Deal with customer complaints in relation to Streetworks activities and have the ability to resolve
these in a quick and timely manner
• Liaise with operations, local authorities and third parties to arrange bus stop / parking suspensions /
road closures and use of portable traffic signals
• Liaise and arrange traffic management alongside the traffic management team
• Support the development of processes, workflows and efficiency improvements
• Provide technical support and guidance to Operations in relation to streetworks offences and
associated costs such as FPN,S74 and inspection failures, with the ability to investigate.

Your profile
The person:
• Previous demonstratable experience in a similar role
• Previous experience utilising Aurora and One Network
• Strong relationship with councils in Cumbria
• Good knowledge and understanding of TTRO / TTRN legislation
• Strong working knowledge of NRSWA, TMA and SROH legislation with the ability to transfer these
skills into day to day decision making
• Driven and able to work autonomously with high level of attention to detail
• Competent or advanced competency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication skills across all levels
• Demonstrable organisation and time management skills
• Have the ability to work on their own while still achieving deadlines
• Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and focus on performance delivery while
promoting efficiency improvements
