Human Resources Business Partner

Our client, a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their HR team on an 18-month fixed-term contract based in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with senior leaders across a complex and dynamic business, providing both strategic and operational HR support. The successful individual will play a key role in driving people initiatives, supporting organisational effectiveness, developing leadership capability and fostering a high-performance culture. Working as a trusted advisor, you will use data-driven insights and HR expertise to influence business decisions, support change initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of people strategies aligned to organisational objectives.

Your new role

• Partner with business leaders to develop and deliver effective people strategies.
• Provide expert HR advice across workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning and talent management.
• Support managers with employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Coach and develop leaders to enhance performance, engagement and team effectiveness.
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives.
• Utilise workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Drive employee engagement activities and support a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Collaborate with specialist HR teams on recruitment, reward, learning and development, and diversity initiatives.
• Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, talent assessments and succession planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience operating as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor in a fast-paced organisation.
• Strong employee relations knowledge and employment law expertise.
• Experience influencing and coaching managers at different levels.
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to HR.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to analyse data and use insights to support decision-making.
• Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
