Greenlight is looking for a  SeniorVideo Editor, Paid Social to own the craft and performance of our video creative across paid social. You'll take strategy and raw footage and turn them into scroll-stopping, high-performing video — and you'll bring the editorial point of view and platform expertise to shape what gets made, not just execute the cut. This is a role for someone who's spent years in the edit bay for performance marketing and has the instincts, speed, and taste to lead by example. This is a senior, high-ownership role. We're looking for someone who can run point on our most important edits, set the bar for craft and pacing across the team, and mentor junior editors as our video output scales. Your day-to-day: Lead editing for our highest-priority and highest-spend paid social campaigns, from brief through final delivery Set the creative and technical bar for hooks, pacing, and platform-native storytelling across the team's output Independently make strong creative calls on ambiguous or underspecified briefs, looping in strategists as needed rather than waiting on direction Partner closely with creative strategists to understand and challenge the strategic rationale behind a brief Use performance data (CTR, hook rate, thumb-stop rate, and other paid social metrics) to inform edit decisions and proactively recommend new creative directions Build a feedback loop between what's performing and how the team edits going forward Serve as the go-to expert on platform specs, native conventions, and emerging formats across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Identify and test new editing styles and formats ahead of the curve, rather than reacting to trends after they've peaked Set the standard for turning raw, imperfect creator footage into polished, high-performing assets Give clear, specific feedback to creators (directly or through strategists) on what footage will and won't cut well, improving submission quality over time Review and give feedback on edits from junior and mid-level editors, raising the craft bar across the team Help onboard new editors, sharing tools, shortcuts, and editorial standards Help build and document workflows, templates, and best practices that let the team move faster without sacrificing quality Act as the editorial voice in conversations with creative strategy and brand, defending craft decisions with clear rationale Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing across a fast-paced, iterative production cycle What you'll bring to the table: 5+ years of experience editing video for paid social, performance marketing, or digital advertising, with a track record of high-performing creative A standout reel showing range and mastery of short-form editing: hooks, pacing, captions, and platform-native formatting at a senior level Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro (After Effects strongly preferred; CapCut a plus) Deep, current knowledge of specs, algorithms, and best practices across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Fluency in reading and acting on paid social performance data to inform creative decisions Experience giving and receiving structured creative feedback, including mentoring more junior editors Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and prioritize across multiple concurrent projects under deadline Strong communication skills — you can articulate the "why" behind an editorial choice to both creative and non-creative stakeholders Nice to have: Experience building or managing editorial workflows, style guides, or training materials for a team Experience editing UGC/creator content specifically for paid ad campaigns at scale Familiarity with fintech, family finance, or consumer subscription products Motion graphics or animation experience beyond the basics Experience partnering directly with media buyers on creative testing strategy Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more.
