Design, develop, and maintain complex frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver scalable, high-performance user interfaces; Utilize Front End technologies such as Typescript, React, Next.js, Redux (Client State management), SSR, CSR, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS, etc.; Architect reusable UI components, client-side libraries, and frontend frameworks, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and adherence to industry best practices; Optimize application performance through advanced techniques such as code-splitting, client side caching, accessibility improvements, and rendering optimization; Integrate frontend applications with distributed backend services and APIs, ensuring secure data flow, robust error handling, and reliable end-to-end functionality; Conduct advanced code reviews, technical design evaluations, and frontend quality audits to enforce engineering standards and ensure production-grade reliability; Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, design, and backend engineering—to translate business requirements into precise technical solutions and ensure seamless feature delivery; Define and enforce SLOs/error budgets and lead Sev-1 incident response and postmortems; Build org-wide observability (metrics, traces, logs) and resilience patterns (circuit breaker, retries/backoff, bulkheads) for cloud-native microservices; Oversee key features and services on the Fanatics' Cloud Commerce platform in its entirety, ensuring their functionality, performance, and integration with the broader system. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 900 Middlefield Rd, 4th Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063 when not telecommuting. Salary: $187,574 - $197,574 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation, job title, or position performing component-based development, testing, and optimization of user interface components in an agile environment. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience working in an agile environment, including participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and executing sprint tasks while proactively reporting blockers; 3 years of professional experience collaborating with UI/UX teams to implement visually appealing, responsive interfaces by integrating feedback and aligning technical design with user experience goals; 3 years of professional experience designing and developing reusable React components, with emphasis on state management, lifecycle methods, and conditional rendering to support experimentation and flexibility; 3 years of professional experience utilizing native DOM APIs to manage user interactions and enhance UI responsiveness without relying solely on third-party libraries; 3 years of professional experience developing modular UI components using composition and effects, enabling the creation of flexible and maintainable user interface fragments; 3 years of professional experience maintaining code coverage standards, ensuring high-quality, bug-free code through test-driven development and peer code reviews; 3 years of professional experience implementing performance optimizations and leveraging modern CSS features to improve site efficiency; 3 years of professional experience providing technical feedback to inform sprint planning and retrospective improvements.
