The CCE-Individuals/Business department is the epicenter of all channels provided by the bank to its customers. We offer personalized and insightful advice and frictionless experiences through multiple channels (Easy Banking Web & App, Easy Banking Business Web & App), brands (Fortis, Hello bank!, Fintro) and business lines (Retail & Private banking, Bank for Entrepreneurs, Corporate banking). As an Android Developer, you will join our team of software development specialists.

AND IN DETAIL

  • You will be translating requirements into high quality code.
  • You design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Java/Kotlin code for the Android platform with jetpack compose.
  • In order to ship new features, you collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • You work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application.
  • You unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability.
  • You identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • You help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

  • You have the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. You dare to challenge the requirements you receive, based on your expertise.
  • You are a team player and actively share your knowledge with your team. You contribute to the constant improvement of the functioning of the team.
  • You know what Pair Programming means, and you are prepared to apply it actively.
  • You understand Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines, DDD and best practices.
  • You are familiar with test driven development (TDD) and you have practical experience with it.
  • You have a proven knowledge of Android development, Git (Gitlab or alternative), Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, JIRA.
  • You know Continuous Integration/Deployment principles, Docker and Groovy.
  • You have experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services and 3rd-party libraries or API’s.
  • You have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of either Dutch or French is a nice to have.
