We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and build scalable, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing distributed, event-driven systems and modern data platforms, with a focus on performance, reliability, and automation. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams across Cloud, Data, and Platform Engineering to deliver high-impact solutions supporting enterprise-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities: Develop scalable, distributed software systems and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity and the ability to ask the right questions.

Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications. Work closely with other teams across a wide breadth of applications and solutions.

Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with insight into industry best practices, strategies, and architectures; and pursue professional growth.

Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews. Identify, plan and ensure successful incremental execution of application modernization, re-platform and refactoring efforts.

Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement to a technology solution whether it’s optimizing the performance of the system or identifying tech debt.

Key Requirements: Experience with GCP Dataflow / Apache Beam

Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Exposure to Kubernetes (GKE)

Experience with data lake / data warehouse architecture

Knowledge of observability and monitoring frameworks

Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models

Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI solutions into application

5–8 years of experience in software engineering and application development

Strong programming expertise in Python

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including: BigQuery Cloud Run Pub/Sub

Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms

Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture

Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Harness

Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices-based design

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
