Your Responsibilities:
Create energy, inspire teammates, and elevate the Brooks brand by fostering a fun and productive sales floor environment.
Deliver premium personalized customer service through active listening, behavioral awareness, storytelling, and expert product education for customers of all athletic abilities.
Serve as the go-to-expert in fitting and gait analysis, guiding customers to the right products, and supporting teammates with their own fitting expertise.
Act as the primary point person for resolving customer escalations and operational issues when a manager is not present.
Delegate tasks to maintain sales floor and stockroom organization, ensuring a clean, efficient, and customer‑ready environment.
Perform keyholder duties, including opening and closing the store as needed.
Assist with merchandising the sales floor, receiving and stocking product, cashiering, and supporting store events or offsite activations.
Identify and execute merchandising or daily store projects in partnership with store leadership and teammates.
Support retail management by training and coaching staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and store operations.
Communicate sensitive or important information effectively and professionally with store management.
Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance, punctuality, and consistent engagement as a reliable member of the store leadership team.
Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
Qualifications:
2+ years of premium retail experience with strong sales and service background preferred
Availability to work 30+ hours per week, including evenings and weekends
Keyholder experience strongly preferred
Moderate computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn POS and other retail systems
Strong POS accuracy and inventory‑counting abilities; basic retail math preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company and with customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
Comfort interacting with a wide range of customers—from brand‑new runners to elite athletes to corporate visitors
Keen attention to detail in executing tasks while understanding broader store and business needs
Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community
