Enable teams to hit quality, performance and financial standards by:
Ensuring teams set model-level FOB targets at the beginning of the season
Reviewing CBDs at each critical stage of the product creation process
Providing suggestions on all models to improve margin
Collaborating with the Materials Design and Development to ensure our upper materials strategy is aligned against costing targets.
Collaborating with our Engineering teams in both Portland and Asia to ensure quoted labor and overhead costs for every process are in line with expectations
Fostering deep, collaborative partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners to ensure Arc’teryx’s standards and processes are agreed upon and followed.
Leveraging your functional expertise to educate, coach and mentor others
Continuously learn and monitor processes in manufacturing to search for efficiency improvements opportunities

Developing and/or identifying the costing tools and processes need to lead us into the digital future
Coaching and mentoring our full product creation team
Evolving our costing processes to ensure we are well positioned for our next phase of growth
Are you our next Senior Footwear Cost Engineer?
You have at least five years’ experience in cost engineering in the footwear industry , ideally with exposure to manufacturing environments in Asia
You can independently provide suggestions and ideas for improving margins.
You have strong influencing skills , with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross- functional stakeholders
You set a clear vision , align your team around common objectives , and foster commitment to these objectives
You have basic knowledge of footwear construction, foams and rubbers, manufacturing , and materials
You have excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions
