Engineering / Maintenance Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.

Summary of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor role Salary: £55,000 Location: South Bedfordshire Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours 8.30am-4.30pm Responsibilities of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor Direct and monitor all activities relating to manufacturing operations, equipment and processes Supervise the day-to-day activities of the site engineering team Prepare RFE’s/Capex’s for engineering tools and equipment Oversee design and development of equipment Manage critical spares Interview, train, develop and evaluate performance of engineering associates Manage total project activities with planned schedule for timely completion Recommend replacement of existing equipment Manage and present design proposals Establish priorities to ensure all machinery, equipment and facilities are in good, safe working condition Requirements for a successful Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor Experience in supervision and/or project leadership Time-served Electrical/Mechanical engineer Excellent Electrical/mechanical aptitude Good knowledge of health and safety Flexible and pro-active Strong organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities Good communication skills Good inter-personal and team working skills Experience of engineering disciplines IT literate Experience with CAD software About Allstaff Recruitment We’re an independent recruitment specialist based in Bedfordshire, supporting businesses across Bedford, Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas.
