Mechanical Project Engineer
- Technical education at university within the machine or process direction, or corresponding experience
- Experience from different kind of risk analysis is desirable
- G ood experience from working with MS Office
- Master drawing tools such as AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge in Swedish and English, written and spoken
- Previous experience in project management is desirable
- Knowledge of ATEX, pressure vessels (PED) and Machinery Directive
As a person you are proactive, service-oriented and flexible. You have good analytical skills and you are easy to work with others. To be successful in this position, you need to have the ability to lead different kind of professions to manage to achieve the projects objectives.

We are looking forward to your application! The Site Service Department in Stockvik is a crucial function for the AkzoNobel Production Site in the Sundsvall area. The organization will primarily support and create synergies for AkzoNobel's production units in Stockvik, thereby also strengthening their long-term competitiveness.
AkzoNobel’s production units aim for a trouble free production process through a high level of continuous improvement. The Site Service department operates really integrated with the production units to support this vision.
The department consists of Maintenance, Infrastructure, Technical Support and Administration. We are now looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to Technical Support. Technical Support works with project management and building control at the site in Stockvik.
As our Mechanical Project Engineer you will project lead multidiscipline projects. This includes the responsibility to plan and implement pre projects and project, as well as the responsibility to ensure good quality through the whole process. You ensure to deliver a high level of service to our customers, get your mission done in time and with good quality.
All work is done in line with AkzoNobel’s HSE standards, directives and policy’s.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Planning projects regarding activities, budget, resources, timeline, risk identification etc
- Ensuring that European and national law, regulations etc is followed through the project
- Work with continuous improvement within your area of responsibility
- P articipate in the design work for the renovation and extension of the production equipment.
- Risk management for new/rebuilt plant or equipment
