Sund Birsta has their headquarter in Sundsvall but they have affiliates both in USA and China. Sund Birsta is own by a Italian company, Danieli, who is the group owners. About 80 people are currently working at Sund Birsta and during 2017 their turnover was 312 million SEK. Most of their employees are based at the headqurater in Sundsvall. Sund Birsta continues to expand and now hiring an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Sundsvall. Sund Birsta is a leading actor in the steel business. They deliver all from single customized machines to complete handling system for the steel industry. This means that the project you will work in will be of different characters and sizes depending which customer you are working with.

At the department there are 38 people in different roles such as other Project Managers, Automation Engineers and Machine Designers. Your workplace will be at Sund Birstas office in Sundsvall but you will be given the opportunity to travel internationally to the customers workplaces. In Sundsvall they also have an assembly unit which means that you can be close to the assembly of the products in your project.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER

At Sund Birsta, work is carried out in a project form where the waterfall and agile project model occurs. The position will give you the opportunity to work with more technical projects at an international level. Your main task is to keep the work going forward within the framework of what the project allows. The service also includes financial monitoring of your assignments.

The equipment that Sund Birsta delivers are customized to their customers needs. The extent of the projects will therefor vary. For you as a Project Manager you will be given the opportunity to travel to site in order to see the area and the machines that your project provides.

This role is perfect for you that have a natural sense of being a coordinator and can handle upcoming changes in a short amount of time. We're looking for a person that has a lot of structure combined with a great portion of flexibility to be successful. You should therefore be analytic in your way of thinking and constantly reevaluate your surroundings. The members in these projects will differ and that's why it is a requirement to be a good team player, as well as you have to think one step ahead at all times. Also you shouldn't be afraid to take actions.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM

• Educational requirements: You should have finished upper secondary school with a technical orientation, if you have a bachelor degree or higher within the engineering field such as machine construction, automation or operating technology will be counted as meritorious
• Experience requirements: You have documented experience of being a Project Manager in more complicated and technical projects, preferable within the steel industry which is counted as meritorious
• Language: You are fluently speaking and writing in English in order to make contact with both clients and colleagues

It is meritorious if you have good knowledge in German in terms of both writing and speaking. It is also meritorious if you have experience from working as a leading engineer, Machine engineer or within the software industry.

It is important that you can work independently in order to succeed in this role as well as it is important to handle the challenges that comes with this job. You will have to act proactively in order to visualize the next move. As a person you should be energetic and social, and it is important that you can create a value in your daily work in order to meet the clients needs and expectations.
