Senior Component Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Component Engineer for valves in the EGR system. This position will be appointed in the Air and Gas design group in the Combustion department working with heavy duty engines for the complete Volvo Group. You will work closely with a Global Component Responsible and different development suppliers. As a Senior Component Engineer you will work in a cross functional team with big possibilities affecting our future technical offer to the market. You will have the responsibility to develop, verify and validate components to well defined targets.

Key Responsibilities

Handle the portfolio of EGR valves through the complete life cycle of the product Define and create technical specifications for components Initiate and evaluate development activities (performed by others) such as CAD modelling, CFD/FEM calculations, testing Create component time plans in MS Project You will attend and lead project-, APQP- and supplier meetings
