Group Manager Durability and Safety – Cab & Chassis

Position Description: As a Group Manager, your main task is to lead the group and deliver Durability testing, measurements and feature work in start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects.
You are expected to drive change and with the focus to create a group where we actively work to continuously improve, build knowledge and understand customer needs and usage regarding Durability.

In this position you will be part of the Durability, Driver & Vehicle Productivity section management team and report to the Section Manager – Durability, Driver & Vehicle Productivity.
Who are we? Complete Vehicle contributes to deliver Products & Services to all Volvo Group brand customers. We are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
Durability and Safety – Cab & Chassis responsibilities are Durability feature leadership, testing and measurements of Cab and Chassis as well as Passive Safety Testing. This also includes test method development and ownership of the Cab and Chassis shake rigs among others. Safety Testing is mainly outsourced and bought from suppliers.
The team’s deliverables are technical reports from physical and virtual testing activities and definition of measurable customer requirements as well as Feature status in projects based on these requirements. The Durability & Cab, Chassis and Safety Testing team consists of 12 regular employees whereof 7 are test engineers, 3 are feature leaders and 2 are feature analysts.
