*Duties*
- Measure and prepare surfaces to ensure proper tile installation using hand tools and construction techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan tile layouts accurately
- Cut tiles precisely using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, and chisels to fit designated spaces
- Lay tiles with attention to detail, ensuring alignment, spacing, and level surfaces for a polished finish
- Apply mortar, grout, caulking, and sealants to secure tiles and prevent water infiltration
- Perform floor and wall tile installation across various materials including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
*Experience*
- Proven experience in construction or handyman roles with a focus on flooring installation or tile laying
- Skilled in using hand tools specific to tile work such as tile cutters, trowels, levels, and chisels
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams confidently to execute precise layouts
- Familiarity with carpentry principles helpful for preparing surfaces and framing as needed
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and edges effectively
- Prior experience working on residential or commercial projects is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued highly
