Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Tasks:
- Evaluate daily operations .
- Plan and organize daily operations.
- Plan for changes to schedules and policies.
- Prepare reports for senior management.
- Supervise staff.
- Train staff.
- Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
- Ensure transport compliance with regulations.
- Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Negotiate for services and preferential rates.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
- Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
