Full Stack Software Developer
Aspire Software company overview
Aspire Software is looking for a full stack software developer to join our team in Lebanon. Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.
About the job
As a full stack developer you’ll design, build, and maintain features across the full stack — from database and back-end services through to the front-end screens our customers use every day. You’ll work within a collaborative, cross-functional team to solve real technical challenges and deliver improvements that thousands of grant managers rely on across the UK and beyond. We’re a remote-first company, so you’ll collaborate with teammates across locations and are trusted to do your best work wherever you’re based.
This is a hands-on development role for someone who’s ready to take ownership of features and grow their skills quickly. You’ll contribute to technical discussions, learn from experienced engineers, and help raise the quality of everything we ship.
Just as importantly, this is an AI-native role. We expect you to use modern AI tooling to problem-solve and deliver faster every day, while also helping us build AI capabilities directly into the Flexigrant platform. If using AI to accelerate your work is already second nature to you, you’ll fit right in.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure features across the full stack
Write clean, efficient, well-documented code that adheres to best practices
Use AI tooling as a core part of your daily workflow to problem-solve, write, review, and ship code faster
Help build AI-powered features into the Flexigrant platform
Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions within the team
Take part in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge
Debug and resolve issues across the application stack
Work with the product owner and team to refine requirements and turn them into working software
Participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes and practices
Help support and maintain the production environment
Stay current with emerging technologies, with a particular focus on advances in AI
Requirements
2+ years of professional software development experience building secure, scalable applications in a fast-paced agile environment
Strong proficiency in C# / VB.NET and the .NET stack, including .NET Core and ASP.NET (MVC / Web API)
Solid front-end skills across HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience coding responsive web applications for a range of devices and browsers
Strong relational database skills, particularly MS SQL Server and T-SQL, including schema design, data modelling, and query optimisation
Good understanding of application architecture and software design principles (SOLID, DRY, object-oriented design)
Understanding of security best practices in software development
Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation, and service-based architecture
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
Experience with version control systems
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Ability to write automated tests (unit, integration, etc.)
Experience using Claude Code and/or other AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of day-to-day development
Experience using agentic AI software development lifecycles and workflows
Ability to translate requirements from meetings and conversations into user stories or technical specs
Working AI-native
AI is central to how we build, not an afterthought. This role calls for someone who is AI-native: you already reach for AI to accelerate your work, and you’re excited to help embed AI deeper into both our development process and our product. We’ll explore your AI fluency in the interview, so be ready to talk through — and show — how you work.
What “AI-native” means to us:
You use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as a natural, daily part of how you write, review, test, and ship code
You have experience with agentic AI software development lifecycles and workflows — directing AI agents to plan, build, and iterate on real work, rather than using AI only for autocomplete or to answer one-off questions and queries
You know how to prompt, steer, and critically review AI output, keeping quality and security high rather than blindly accepting suggestions
You’re keen to help design and build AI-powered features into the Flexigrant platform
You stay on top of a fast-moving field, continually adopting new tools and techniques that make you and the team more effective
The bar here is high: we’re looking for someone at least as AI-native as our strongest engineers, and ideally someone who can raise it further.
Personal characteristics
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to be clear, concise, and accurate with both technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when needed
Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
Genuine passion for learning and staying current with technology, especially AI
Pragmatic approach to development, with a focus on delivering value
Resilience and adaptability when facing technical challenges
Customer-focused mindset that considers end-user impact
