Student Support Mentor
Job Scope: After-SchoolDrop-In Centre Management Run the centre and organise daily activities. Build positive relationships with students. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Monitor and record student attendance/movement and belongings. Skills-BasedProgramme Delivery Plan and conduct twice-weekly programmes for groups of around 20 students. Develop practical, engaging activities based on students' interests and abilities. Track participation and progress. Activities may include sports, crafts, music, digital media, photography/video editing, board games and strategy games. Life Skills Programme Support Assist teachers in planning and conducting weekly Life Skills lessons. Prepare materials and equipment. Adapt activities to students' learning and behavioural needs. Supervise students during practical and outdoor activities while ensuring safety. Individual& Small-Group Mentoring Build trusting relationships with students requiring additional support. Conduct regular one-to-one or small-group check-ins. Set simple developmental goals and monitor progress. Document students' wellbeing and development. Escalate concerns to teachers, Year Heads or the Student Support Team when necessary. Qualifications and skills: Diploma 3 years of experience working with youth, preferably in an educational or social service setting. Duration of Service Contract period: 14 September 2026 to 19 November2027 (14 months excluding December 2026) Personnel to be deployed at thefollowing hours: · Mondaysto Fridays: 9:30 am to 4.30 pm , inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break · Servicenot required on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays and gazetted publicholidays
