  • Maintaining accurate care plans, digital records and clinical documentation.
  • Supporting staff through supervision, appraisals, mentoring and training.
  • Overseeing rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
  • Working with residents, families and external healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Supporting audits, inspection preparation, incident reviews and improvement plans.
  • Promoting safeguarding, safe practice and continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for a registered nurse with current NMC registration who brings:

  • Relevant experience in a care home or similar care setting.
  • Experience of supervising, supporting or leading a team.
  • Sound clinical judgement and a commitment to person-centred care.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence using digital care records and care planning systems.
  • A caring, proactive approach and the ability to lead by example.

Experience of rota planning, clinical audits, incident analysis and coaching colleagues would be valuable. A relevant supervisory or management qualification and familiarity with PCS and Cool Care would also be an advantage.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility in the balance between supernumerary management/clinical leadership time and nursing duties, reflecting the home's needs and your strengths.
  • Working pattern: Mainly days. Willingness to cover an occasional night shift would be welcome, although nights are not the normal working pattern.
  • Annual leave: 28 days per annum, including bank holidays.
  • Pension: Workplace pension.
  • Bonus: Performance-related bonus.
